Anytime Fitness Hachioji Mejirodai Review|A Straight Path from the Station, a Gym Without Frills

店舗レビュー

Ten minutes on foot from Mejirodai Station on the Keio Takaosansen Line.

The walk is moderate, and the gym that waits at the end of it carries the feel of a public sports center — practical, understated, and consistent.

A water server is present, though the water quality is noticeably poor. No leg press machine. Two adjustable benches operating on a twenty-minute rotation system, two shower and toilet units, and an interior layout similar to the Namikimachi location. The overall impression sits firmly in the middle of the range — nothing that disappoints, nothing that particularly impresses. The road from Mejirodai toward Hachioji is walkable and relatively straightforward, making it a reasonable post-training route on a clear day.

A dependable neighborhood gym without strong reasons to seek it out from a distance.

Access

A 10-minute walk from Mejirodai Station on the Keio Takao Line. The path from the station runs in a single straight line, with no traffic signals or confusing turns to navigate, making it an easy and comfortable walk.

Atmosphere and Equipment

A water server is available, though its taste left something to be desired. The interior bears a resemblance to the Namikicho location. Showers and toilets each number two, operating on a 20-minute rotation system. The overall feel is closer to a municipal sports center than a boutique gym, neither particularly impressive nor disappointing.

Crowding

The 20-minute rotation system appeared to be working well, with no notable waiting times or competition for equipment during the visit.

Surrounding Area

The route between the station and the gym runs along a single straight path, making it an easy location to find without getting lost. That same path continues on toward Hachioji, giving a sense of natural connection to the larger town beyond.

Overall Review

Neither particularly impressive nor disappointing is the phrase that best captures this gym. Minor shortcomings, such as the water server’s taste and the absence of a leg press, are offset by the straightforward walk from the station and a 20-minute rotation system that runs smoothly.

For a pilgrim passing through, it was the walkability of Mejirodai itself that left the strongest impression, more than anything inside the gym.

The pilgrimage continues.
