Anytime Fitness Tama Center Review|A Luxury Gym Steps from the Station

店舗レビュー

One minute from Odakyu Tama Center Station — practically inside the station itself.

Stepping off the train and walking straight in, the first thing that stands out is how spacious it feels for such a central location. Four adjustable benches, five Smith machines and power racks, and still plenty of open floor. The gym was quiet during the visit, with no waiting at any station. There is no water server, but a Seven-Eleven is directly connected to the building, so hydration is never an issue. The interior carries a polished, upscale feel that is rare for a suburban location.

Direct station access, generous space, and a calm atmosphere. A worthy Pilgrimage Class gym.

Facilities

A private shower, a private changing room, Wi-Fi, and a personal trainer are all available. An AED, contracted lockers, and free access for high school students through the High School Pass round out the offering.

There’s no water server, no body composition scale, and no dedicated bicycle or car parking. The lack of a water server was never an issue, though, since the gym connects directly to a 7-Eleven.

Access

A 1-minute walk from Odakyu Tama Center Station, effectively a station-direct location. Even on rainy days, it’s possible to reach the gym without getting wet, and the access here is hard to beat.

Atmosphere and Equipment

The interior is spacious, with plenty of breathing room throughout. Four benches and five power rack/Smith machines make up the core equipment, all with generous space to move between stations.

There’s no water server on site, but with a 7-Eleven connected directly to the gym, that was never a problem; drinks and snacks were always just a few steps away. The restrooms and shower areas were also spacious and fully barrier-free, adding to the overall comfort.

The space has a polished, upscale feel to it, a refined atmosphere that stands out even among suburban locations.

Crowding

Quiet. Between the spacious layout and the low number of visitors, there was barely any waiting for equipment. It was easy to settle in and focus on training at your own pace.

Surrounding Area

Tama Center is a well-planned neighborhood, and the station-direct location means everything is within easy reach. It’s also a suburban area that’s pleasant for walking, and Tachikawa is close enough to extend the trip afterward. There’s a lot of flexibility in how to spend a day off here.

Overall Review

Station-direct access, generous space, low crowding, and a genuinely upscale interior: there’s little to complain about with this gym. The absence of a water server is more than made up for by the 7-Eleven connection right next door, which arguably gives more flexibility for refueling than a standard water server would.

It’s rare to find this level of comfort in a station-direct gym. For anyone living in Tama Center, this is unquestionably a pilgrimage-class choice. It’s an upscale environment that makes it easy to stick to your own training pace.

The pilgrimage continues.
