Ten seconds on foot from Hanakoganei Station on the Seibu Shinjuku Line.
The ground floor is a FamilyMart. The second floor is Anytime Fitness. Step off the train, walk in — it is as straightforward as that.
Inside, the floor is wide and well-maintained. Four Smith machines and power racks, three benches, MAG grip attachments, and a protein supplement vending machine. The only missing item is a water server, but the convenience store downstairs makes that a non-issue. The overall quality rivals the Tama Center location.
This combination of access and comfort is difficult to find anywhere else on this line.

Access
Ten seconds from Hanakoganei Station on the Seibu Shinjuku Line. Not a figure of speech — the gym entrance is visible from the ticket gates. The building has a FamilyMart on the ground floor and Anytime Fitness on the 2nd. No water server, but the convenience store directly below means drinks are never more than 30 seconds away. Access-wise, this ranks among the best on the entire pilgrimage.
Facilities & Atmosphere
Spacious, clean, and well-laid-out. The floor has genuine breathing room — equipment is arranged with space between stations rather than packed in tightly. Smith/power rack stations: 4. Adjustable benches: 3.
The standout detail: a protein vending machine. Combined with the protein server already on-site, post-workout nutrition is handled without leaving the building. It’s a small thing, but it reflects a level of attention to the member experience that not every gym bothers with.
Shower and toilet facilities are sufficient in number — no bottlenecks even during busier periods. The overall feel is comparable to Tama Center: refined, comfortable, and easy to return to.
How Busy Does It Get?
People are present, but the generous floor space keeps it from feeling crowded. The free weights area was usable without waiting. For a station-front gym, the crowd management here is notably good.
The Surrounding Area
Hanakoganei is a calm residential neighborhood. The Tama Lake Cycling Green Road runs nearby — an excellent post-workout walking or cycling route. The streets around the station are quiet and well-kept, with the kind of settled, unhurried atmosphere that makes a neighborhood feel genuinely livable.
On the day of the visit, the walk along the Shakujii River from end to end was a highlight. Nature and suburb in easy balance.
Overall
Ten seconds from the station. Spacious floor. Clean interior. Protein vending machine. FamilyMart below. ¥7,700 per month.
Finding a flaw here takes effort. The only gap is the missing water server — and with a convenience store on the ground floor, it barely registers. This gym matches Tama Center for comfort and livability. For anyone considering a move to the area, it belongs at the top of the shortlist.
The pilgrimage continues.
