Two minutes from the north exit of Mitaka Station on the JR Chuo Line.
The gym sits on the second floor of a building directly accessible from the station — a straightforward approach with no navigation required.
A single open floor with four Smith machines and power racks, three adjustable benches, one standard bench, and a layout that maintains reasonable spacing throughout. For a Chuo Line location, the floor feels less compressed than comparable stations along the same route. The gym was not crowded during the visit, allowing a relaxed training pace. Mitaka itself is a calm, well-serviced neighborhood, with Kichijoji and Inokashira Park reachable on foot in either direction.
One of the more comfortable Chuo Line options for those who value space over spectacle.

Access
A 2-minute walk from Mitaka Station’s North Exit. The gym is on the 2nd floor of a building just outside the station. Mitaka sits one stop from Kichijoji on the Chuo Line — a quieter, more residential version of its famous neighbor. The station area has a solid selection of restaurants and cafes, and Kichijoji and Inokashira Park are within easy walking distance.
Facilities & Atmosphere
Single-floor layout. Smith/power rack stations: 4. Adjustable benches: 3. Standard bench: 1. The setup covers everything needed for a complete full-body session, and the floor has enough space to move around without feeling crowded.
The dumbbell area is well-positioned with good flow — no awkward routing to reach the weights. The free weights zone is easy to navigate, which makes a real difference during a focused session.
Water server available. Protein server on-site. The basics are covered.
What stands out about this gym — especially compared to other Chuo Line locations — is the absence of that compressed, claustrophobic feeling. There’s actual breathing room here.
How Busy Does It Get?
Not particularly crowded. For a Chuo Line gym this close to a major station, that’s worth noting. Benches were available without waiting during the visit. The pace here is unhurried — you can train without constantly watching the clock or waiting for equipment.
The Surrounding Area
Mitaka is a well-balanced neighborhood. Restaurants are plentiful near the station, and the overall atmosphere is calm without feeling remote. A short walk brings you to Kichijoji and Inokashira Park — one of Tokyo’s best post-workout walking routes.
The area also has good medical and daily-life infrastructure, making it one of the more livable spots along the Chuo Line.
Overall
No drama. No standout features. Just a well-functioning gym in a good location.
For Chuo Line gyms, this one punches above its weight in terms of space and usability. The water server works. The benches are available. The floor doesn’t feel cramped. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need.
The pilgrimage continues.
