Anytime Fitness Shintokorozawa Review|The Most Open-Feeling Gym on This Tour, Like a Community Sports Hall

店舗レビュー

Ten minutes on foot from Shin-Tokorozawa Station on the Seibu Shinjuku Line.

The gym sits next to a Daiso — an understated setting for what turns out to be one of the more spacious locations on this pilgrimage.

A single open floor with a layout that feels closer to a public sports center than a typical gym. Among all the locations visited, this one had the most breathing room between stations. Four adjustable benches, four Smith machines and power racks, large windows letting in natural light, and a wide stretching area without mats. The gym had members training during the visit, but no waiting at any point. The overall atmosphere is calm and unhurried.

A gym where the space does as much for the mind as it does for the body.

Access

The gym is a nine-minute walk from Shintokorozawa Station, located inside a shopping mall right next to a Daiso store. Both car and bicycle parking are available, making the location convenient by vehicle as well as on foot.

Facilities & Atmosphere

This single-floor gym feels genuinely spacious inside. The walkway to the free-weight area is generously wide, and the overall sense of open space here surpasses every other location visited so far, closer to the feel of a community sports hall than a typical gym. The stretching area is large, though it isn’t matted, and big windows keep the interior bright. The equipment lineup isn’t especially extensive, but that leaves more breathing room around what’s there, including four Smith machines and four adjustable benches. The atmosphere recalls the Minami-Otsuka location.

How Busy Does It Get?

Other members were around during the visit, but no waits ever came up. The generous open space keeps the experience stress-free.

The Surrounding Area

Large restaurants line the surrounding area. This particular visit continued on foot all the way to Tokorozawa on the way back.

Overall

The equipment lineup isn’t particularly extensive, but that trade-off comes with an unusual amount of breathing room, the most open-feeling gym encountered on this tour so far. The atmosphere brings to mind a community sports hall, with some resemblance to the Minami-Otsuka location as well.

Other members were present but never caused a wait, keeping things comfortable throughout. Located inside a shopping mall, it’s also an easy stop on the way to or from running errands.

The pilgrimage continues.
