Anytime Fitness Hanno Review|A Spacious, Empty Gym with a Campground-Like Feel

店舗レビュー

Twenty minutes on foot from Higashi-Hanno Station on the JR Hachiko Line.

The distance is real. There is no shortcut.

But arriving makes it worthwhile. A two-floor independent building with a spacious layout and an atmosphere that feels almost outdoorsy — closer to a mountain lodge than a typical urban gym. The first floor holds free weights and machines, the second floor cardio equipment, showers, and restrooms. The gym was quiet throughout the visit, with no waiting at any point. Two Smith machines, two adjustable benches, and a full lineup of PRECOR equipment.

Some gyms are destinations in themselves. Hanno earns that description.

Access

The gym is a 10-minute walk from Higashi-Hanno Station on the JR Hachiko Line. The distance from the station is real, but car parking on site makes driving a practical option.

Facilities & Atmosphere

This is a standalone, two-story building. The first floor holds the free-weight and machine area, with two Smith machines and two adjustable benches, a lineup that’s honestly on the lean side. The second floor has treadmills, additional machines, restrooms, and showers. A faint smell from the restrooms drifting into the floor was a minor downside.

That said, the overall space is spacious and largely empty. The atmosphere supports stress-free training, with something of an outdoorsy, campground-like feel to the whole place.

How Busy Does It Get?

The gym was quiet during the visit, with essentially no waits. The generous space means it stays comfortable even when other members are around.

The Surrounding Area

Hanno’s location lends the area a noticeably natural feel. It’s a relaxed pocket of Saitama, set apart from the busier parts of central Tokyo.

Overall

The equipment lineup is on the limited side, and a faint odor from the restrooms is a minor mark against it. Even so, the space is spacious and quiet, making for a stress-free workout.

The relaxed, almost campground-like atmosphere is the lasting impression here, the kind of feel that fits its rural setting well.

The pilgrimage continues.
