Anytime Fitness Iogi Review|15 Seconds from the Station, a Compact Gym That Punches Above Its Weight

店舗レビュー

Fifteen seconds from Iogi Station on the Seibu Shinjuku Line.

The gym occupies the second floor of a two-story building directly beside the station — as close to step-off-and-enter as it gets.

For a gym of this footprint, the equipment selection stands out. Plate-loaded machines are present alongside the standard weight stack lineup — uncommon at this scale. Three adjustable benches, four Smith machines and power racks, and two cable machines. The floor is compact, leaving limited open space, but the layout is efficient and the path to the dumbbell area is clear. Waits were rarely necessary during the visit. The surrounding area has the feel of a local shopping street, with several small restaurants suited to a solo visit after training.

A station-adjacent gym that fits more equipment into its space than most.

Facilities & Atmosphere

The gym occupies the second floor of a two-story building, with a single-floor layout. Being so close to the station, the space itself isn’t particularly large.

Treadmills sit near the entrance, followed by weight-stack machines and, notably, a plate-loaded machine, something rarely seen at a gym this size. A free-weight area sits further back, with a smooth path to the dumbbells. The stretching area is modest and unmatted. Equipment includes three adjustable benches, four Smith/power rack stations, and two cable machines, all arranged efficiently given the limited footprint.

How Busy Does It Get?

Other members were around, but waits were rare. The strong equipment lineup seems to keep things moving.

The Surrounding Area

The neighborhood has the feel of a traditional shopping street, with plenty of restaurants that look comfortable for solo visits. It’s a pleasant area for a walk, and the Seibu Line corridor generally feels like a livable stretch of the city. Overall, it’s a notably quiet area.

Overall

Just 15 seconds from the station, this gym manages to fit in a plate-loaded machine despite its modest footprint, an unusual find at this size. The path to the dumbbells is smooth, and the layout makes efficient use of limited space.

The stretching area leaves little breathing room, but waits are rare and the overall experience stays comfortable. Set in a quiet, shopping-street neighborhood that feels genuinely livable.

The pilgrimage continues.
