Anytime Fitness Kodaira Review|A Mirror Trick Makes It Feel Bigger, with a Protein Bar Right by the Station

店舗レビュー

Fifteen seconds from Kodaira Station on the Seibu Tama-ko and Haijima lines.

The ground floor of a two-story building, just steps from the ticket gate. The interior feels more spacious than the location would suggest — an impression that takes a moment to reconcile.

Weight stack machines line the left side upon entry, with a free weight area toward the back. Three benches in total, four Smith machines and power racks, and enough space between each station that movement around the floor feels easy. A standard bench placed in the middle of the floor provides a spot to rest between sets — a small but welcome detail. The overall atmosphere is calm and unhurried. Just outside the station, the Tama Lake Cycling Green Road offers a pleasant route for a post-training walk.

Proximity to the station, generous floor space, and low crowding — a combination that is harder to find than it should be.

Access

The gym is a one-minute walk from Kodaira Station (closer to 15 seconds in practice). It occupies the first floor of a two-story building, making it a true station-front location. With no car parking, visits are mainly on foot or by bike.

Facilities & Atmosphere

Despite the close proximity to the station, the interior feels larger than expected. It isn’t a square, spacious layout exactly, but an abundance of mirrors creates a curious sense of more space than the actual footprint suggests.

Walking in, weight-stack machines sit to the left, with a free-weight area further back. A stretching area is present but unmatted. Three benches total, a mix of adjustable and flat, are spaced comfortably apart with a reasonably smooth path to the dumbbells. Four Smith/power rack stations round out the lineup.

The equipment selection isn’t especially extensive, but the generous breathing room makes for comfortable, self-paced training. The atmosphere carries a slightly stylish edge, and a flat bench sits in the middle of the floor, doubling as a spot to rest between sets.

How Busy Does It Get?

The open layout keeps things comfortable even when other members are present.

The Surrounding Area

The Tamako Greenway sits right by the station, making it an ideal spot for a walk. The area around the station also has Lavi Kodaira and a fair number of restaurants, giving it a lively, livable feel. A bit further out, Kodaira Cemetery offers a spacious, well-kept path for those who don’t mind a quieter kind of walk.

Overall

Just 15 seconds from the station, the interior feels larger than expected thanks to a clever use of mirrors, a genuinely curious space. The equipment lineup isn’t extensive, but the open layout supports comfortable, self-paced training. A protein bar on site is a thoughtful touch rarely found elsewhere on this tour.

The area around the station is lively with restaurants, and the nearby Tamako Greenway and Kodaira Cemetery both make for pleasant walks, rounding out a genuinely livable neighborhood.

The pilgrimage continues.
