A six-minute walk from the station leads to a large, single-story building set along the main road, sharing its frontage with a Lawson convenience store. It has the unmistakable look of a roadside Anytime Fitness.
The moment the door opens, space is the first thing that registers.

Atmosphere & Equipment Inside
The space isn’t only large. Lockers, showers, and restrooms are all supplied with room to spare. Even a free water dispenser stands there, as if it were only natural.
Everything needed is set out without hurry. That alone says something about the character of the place.
The stretching area follows a self-mat setup. Beside it hangs a single punching bag — a sight rarely seen at an Anytime Fitness.
No one was touching it.
It looked as though it might sway, though there was no wind, and it didn’t. That stillness, more than anything, spoke to how much room this store has.
The machine count is considerable. Weight-stack and plate-load equipment coexist without crowding each other out. Nothing here feels packed in. The Matrix machines, in particular, have their own quiet appeal.
Space, here, leaves room to breathe.
Three adjustable benches. Wide aisles leading to the dumbbell racks. Five Smith machines and power racks combined. Every machine keeps a slight distance from its neighbor.
That small distance is what makes it comfortable.

Crowd Levels
The visit fell in the middle of the Silver Week holidays. There were a fair number of people. And yet, it never felt crowded. Not once was there a wait.
No standing beside someone else’s set, waiting for it to end. No sense of being rushed from behind.
The weights come up at their own pace. Breath settles. A short rest, then the next set begins.
For a holiday workout, a place like this is hard to beat.
Surroundings
Set along the main road, right beside a Lawson. A single high-rise apartment tower rises behind it — a familiar roadside scene.

Overall Review
Stepping outside afterward, rain had begun to fall. Back at Isesaki Station, it was still too early to head home.
A sign at the bus stop caught the eye: unlimited rides for 200 yen a day. The destination wasn’t clear.
So the next bus to arrive was the one taken.
Usually, the destination comes first, then the movement. Once in a while, reversing that order works just as well — board first, decide where to go afterward.
On a pilgrimage like this, even the unplanned moments become part of the journey.

PILGRIMAGE CLASS
Worth visiting, even from far away. Isesaki Midoricho earns that distinction.
There’s room in the space. There’s room in the equipment. No one rushes anyone else, and no one is rushed in return. That quiet — lifting, breathing, resting, and moving to the next set — is what gives this store its character.
And outside its doors, a second pilgrimage was waiting. A bus taken without knowing the destination seemed, in its own way, to mirror exactly what this store stands for.
Go without a plan. Don’t decide in advance. Few stores embody that philosophy as fully as this one.
